I mean as we do feel! ⌚ 🤔
After watching a Sci-Fi movie “Her 2013”, on a friend’s recommendation. 🎥 In which an AI assistant Samantha was portrayed as an AI OS. 🤖
Which slowly developed a romantic relation with the user! 💕
And due to her exact human-like behavior, it was easy for the user to find a companion in it! 😊
I am here with an interesting talk… 🗣️
While watching I was wondering what makes it feel so much like a Human? 👀
All the AI models we use today also try to mimic human styles, ranging from LLMs to Robots. 🤖💡
Then I observed what makes Samantha different is her sense of time. ⏰ It was not shown clearly that she could sense, but her actions and dialogues were clear with it.
So the most interesting part is, this sense of time. ⌛
It is a major factor that is going to distinguish between us and machines! 🧠
Maybe there are many other things like creativity, consciousness, and all. But this sense of time seems quite unachievable for a machine in my opinion. 🤯
We could let them track time using a clock, but there is a difference between tracking and sensing. 🕰️
And the reason behind I am saying it’s unachievable is, we know what makes us see 👀, so we let them see, we know how we think 💭, we let them think, but how we sense time?! 🧠
